CALM BEFORE THE STORM

The scene here this afternoon.

Today is a perfectly gorgeous day here. However, we are waiting for the arrival of Tropical Depression Cosme, which was a short lived Hurricane Cosme for 1 day on Monday. Tropical Depression Cosme continues on a westward track across the central Pacific, with sustained winds holding at 35 mph. Cosme is expected to pass south of the Hawaiian Islands, but will be close enough to increase trade winds and trigger some locally heavy showers. Flash flood watches have been posted for the Big Island, where multiple inches of rainfall are possible over the volcanic peaks. Hopefully all we will get is a good amount of rain. We'll keep you posted.
